"Mark Landini has given us at Glassons a retail design that has helped us reinvent the brand. In an ever challenging retail world the need to stand out has become increasingly important. We had to be brave to adopt his design - but the results (both aesthetic and financial) have truly surpassed our wildest dreams. Money talks, bullshit walks."
The complete reinvention of Glassons’ Retail Format. Landini's scope of work included Brand Strategy, Concept Design, Master
Planning, Interior Design, Signage, Vintage Brand
Creation and Brand Guidelines.
The brief was to better present their great value product such that collections were more intelligible and the perceived quality higher without reducing SKU’s.
Landini’s design eliminates the cluttered feel of most high-street fashion stores, creating a clean look whilst cleverly maintaining a high volume of product. In fact, the design allows for 50% more product on the floor, yet gives the impression of a minimalist aesthetic rarely seen in high street chains.
Trading success was immediate with store sales consistently exceeding plan. Landlords who once turned Glassons away are now inviting them to their malls, offering coveted locations next to international high-street superstars such as ZARA, Uniqlo & H&M, and even contributing towards their construction.
Landini Associates’ design solution is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The success of the radical reinvention lies quietly in the layout, which challenges traditional display methods of the mass-market fashion category.
"This has set a new retail benchmark."
