Landini Associates redesigned President’s Choice Financial, a retail banking service provided by Loblaws. PC Financial pavilions are located inside selected Loblaws stores, currently at 300 plus locations across Canada. Landini’s trading format for the brand has been rolled out across Canada.
President’s Choice is a highly awarded, Loblaws owned, private label for products and services of exceptional standard and quality. The new format is generation 5 for PCF stores, and the first designed by Landini Associates. The design team played on the strength of the pre-red used in PCF stores, amping it up to make it the key brand colour. Red is easily identifiable and also holds strong links to the Loblaws brand.
The focus was on the branch designs, delivering a next generation branch that improves the customer experience, reinforces the CBA brand promise and adds convenience. The branch designs are inviting banking environments that are flexible, modular and space efficient. They seamlessly integrate banking technology hardware into an innovative ‘Ribbon’ design element to create a friendly and intuitive look and feel. Semi private zones are created through cantilevered elements and alcove spaces. Casual lounge and bench seating are combined to create open, friendly functional work spaces.
Each transaction zone has the functionality to achieve all banking tasks, including teller transactions, intelligent deposit and coin deposit, allowing customers to perform all their banking tasks in one place, at their own pace, 24 hours a day.
The retail banking format is unique as it has no printed paper anywhere in the store. All in-store communication is via electronic interface, allowing it to be changed easily and unified across all branches.
