It's a suburban solution that targets a mainstream, affluent audience; a calming pivot to our "grittier urban” look for the Loblaws banner
"I love working with you guys! There is some really fantastic stuff in this deck. Must have taken a lot of time and effort. I am very pleased with the directions you have explored.""
Zehrs supermarket in Toronto is the first instalment of Landini’s latest collaboration with Loblaws on their new ‘Neighbour’ format.
The design is a suburban evolution of an existing format - one which is very childish and colourful - into an environment that is modern and sophisticated whilst still retaining a friendly and approachable neighbourhood attitude.
It targets a mainstream "suburban" audience in contrast to our "urban" Loblaws solution. This much loved banner has been an instant success, now in high demand nationally.
In the Market Hall, departments are defined by canopies: The previous iteration used a lot of primary colors to define departments. The new design has toned this down and introduced a "canopy concept" as a simple way to give each offer its own personality whilst gluing the space together with a common approach, and creating a relaxing calm.
Departments include: Meat & Fish Co, Sushi, Bakery, Fresh Produce, Pharmacy, Healthcare and ‘From Our Chefs’ food to take home.
