Ned's is a specialist bakery and café in Melbourne. A European-inspired experience like no other, where the heart and soul of an artisan bakery meets a buzzing Melbourne café.

After working with Landini for a few years on T2, I knew they were the only ones for the job as they know how to break the rules and create a unique space for the team and customers to enjoy for many years to come."

Ned's is all about taking time to pause, share and celebrate food and each other. 

Ned bakes all day, so your bread is fresh and warm to eat. in store or take home. You can buy it by the loaf, the half loaf, quarter loaf, or simply by the slice.

Ned’s Bake - Melbourne

There is no back of house at Ned’s, unless you include the racking suspended above some seating where bags of flour are stored. Nothing is hidden, not the master baker, nor his job sheet, written on the wall; not the ovens or the cooling racks and tables, nor the open kitchen that serves the café or the central preparation and finishing room. The café seating wraps itself around this core and into nooks and crannies, and bakers and floor staff walk from side to side through it to undertake their flourishing activity.

Nothing is added too, unless absolutely needed. The walls were left as we found them and the ceiling too, with everything exposed unless health code or common sense called for it to be otherwise. Ned’s is simple and snug and all about the joy of making friends and bread!
